The Listening Program

Weakness or problems with processing sound can adversely affect us in many ways. Enhancing the ability to process sound can produce specific benefits in areas of academic performance, attention, and emotional balance.

The Listening Program is designed for those who are not listening to their fullest potential as well as those having difficulties in the areas of processing, and memory. If the listener is overwhelmed by noise or sensitive to certain sounds, has difficulty with sound discrimination, or cannot sustain attention to sound, communicating and understanding others can be quite difficult.

The Listening Program is based upon fundamental principles of neurology, neurodevelopment, education, speech-language pathology, psychoacoustics, music, and sound engineering. Exercising and toning the muscles in the ear through deep auditory stimulation helps to build strong multi-sensory pathways in the brain. The result is an improvement in sound processing. With trained professionals administering the program to stimulate active listening, a child can be trained to process sound more effectively and develop the skills necessary to utilize sensory information to its fullest.
