M.Ed., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist

Jennifer Varnado, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist, received her training at the University of Central Florida and earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders. Jennifer’s has a wide range of therapeutic experience that includes working with children who have difficulties in the areas of expressive and receptive language skills, articulation, pragmatics, augmentative communication, oral motor therapy, feeding and swallowing therapy, pre-literacy, and auditory processing.

As Therapy Team leader while working at an interdisciplinary clinic in Florida, Jennifer supervised, and mentored professional staff that included Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists.

Jennifer has obtained certification in the area of oral motor development and worked directly with Debra Beckman, M.S., CCC-SLP, nationally known oral motor specialist. Passionate about oral motor development, Jennifer has treated numerous infants and toddlers who have difficulty with sound production and feeding skill development.

Jennifer’s experience working with Occupational and Physical Therapists has led her to embrace our philosophy at SPS of "treating the whole child." A member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Jennifer is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
